VALENTINE IS A DRAG: FRENCH KISS EDITION

I have been working with Immersive Cult, an experiential creative agency, for three years now on a regular basis. One of the clients we work with is Loulou’s private members club in London Mayfair, to create immersive events in their downstairs club.

For a Valentine drag event in 2019 we took inspiration from the existing wallpaper of French impressionist can-can dancers. I illustrated the can-can dancers in the same impressionist style, however transformed them into drag queens, and in the theme of the event. We took the illustrations and installed them as vinyl wallpaper across the venue, this meant I had to prepare very large files and to very precise measurements.

Freak Factory

I worked with Immersive Cult on another event for Loulou’s member club for Halloween 2021, the theme was ‘Freak Factory’. The event was very immersive, it had burlesque dancers and circus performers for entertainment, so the artwork I designed had to be provocative and seductive. I designed and illustrated the wallpaper which was installed throughout the club onto vinyl. I also designed and illustrated large stickers to be printed around the venue.
